I got pSX32 working nearly perfectly on Jaunty simply by installing from the .deb's posted for intrepid in this thread, apart from a good deal of flickering making it almost unplayable. Vsync didn't...
My problems were fixed for a while but now I've got sound cutting in and out with VLC, video getting behind the sound and having to race to catch up in totem and flash video, and to top it all off,...
Envyng didn't work. I don't have the right kernel headers, apparently, and I can't figure out how to install them without use of a mouse. I tried:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-`uname -r`...
I tried using the same fix on my secondary harddrive in CLI using nano, but it didn't work. The mouse won't work in either USB or PS/2 on that drive. I'm also still stuck in low-graphics mode on...
Hmm, didn't seem to work on the live disks either, but I vaguely recall having to use USB when I first installed Intrepid and then magically finding it to work in ps/2 after a few updates.

Tell me about it! I certainly can't explain it, but that's the only change I remember making between bootups.
It's a Logitech Mx Laser. I can't seem to find my old live cd, but I'll make one...
I should also say that my keyboard is ps/2 and works fine, and that the usb-ps/2 adapter is the one that came with the mouse (logitech mx laser).
I've looked at many threads, and none seem to have...
I have two separate internal boot drives with Jaunty installed on both of them. My main drive is a sata drive, and my secondary is an IDE drive. My mouse is a USB mouse with a ps/2 adapter. Ever...
The fix didn't work for me.
Output:
lspci | grep audio

The last update seemed to fixed my problems.
The last update seemed to fix my problems.
My problem was that Jaunty wasn't on my menu.lst, so I added it and installed the drivers with envyng.
It is a multi-button laser mouse. It's a USB mouse by default but has always worked fine with a ps/2 adapter until a partial upgrade was performed in jaunty.
I can't get it to do what it was...
I mostly sorted it out with
sudo gedit /etc/rc.local
then typed in
modprobe -r psmouse
modprobe psmouse proto=imps
before the exit 0 line.
However, this did not work on my backup...

After upgrading from jaunty 11 to 12, I lost the use of my mouse in ps/2 but not in usb on my main drive. Going from Intrepid to Jaunty on my backup drive, I lost ps/2 but had usb until a reboot. ...
No, that's definitely not an option at the moment. At the very least, I just need my ps/2 mouse port working, preferrably using the console to do so (the easiest way I'd be able to do it, booting...
That solved one problem, but my mouse still doesn't seem work in it's regular port...maybe after another reboot.
I'm setting my current menu.lst to this:
title Ubuntu 9.04, kernel...
Well, somehow I've managed to compound my problems but discover something new. After another reboot, the mouse stopped working in USB, as well. I found out that the list I had editted wasn't the...
So USB works, but I've discovered that my problem is that there's something wrong with my grub. For some reason, it's booting me into my backup ide drive, rather than my main sata drive, so I...
After tackling many sound and video problems after upgrading to Jaunty, I still had problems with VLC (skipping sound and video) and Rhythmbox (asking to update plugins every time it starts). I...
I have this problem as well. Thinking it might be a driver issue, I tackled that and ran into a number of new problems. During these issues, I lost the use of my drivers for a time, and the problem...
Hey, thanks for that! I guess Jaunty's a bit more picky than Intrepid, or something was going on that I wasn't aware of. Now I can focus on fixing my VLC problem.
Maybe, but this is what I've known to work. Even if this script is removed, I get the same problems of not being able to save or even preview nvidia settings, so I'm not so sure the problem is...
