... it is UBUNTU's intentional manipulation of your system!

For others with a similar (HDMI not waking issue) ...

One 'sneaky' workaround is to tell Ubuntu to "Pause", and then Ubuntu will give you an option...

Also Hibernate / Suspend / Hybrid Sleep Not working right in at least 2 ways

1/ For all of them the NVHDA does NOT reload properly if ...IF ... it actually works otherwise.
