That doesn't explain why it suddenly stopped working though.
I upgraded from 13.10 to 14.04 on my HP Envy M7 laptop and the touchscreen still no longer clicks. It still moves the mouse and has multi-touch, but it no longer clicks when touched. Any ideas?
