No rush. I tried it before, and it was horrible. I found out about the 2d option, how good it worked, and figured I would try it again in 2d, but found out that It was removed from the new version....
My hardware isn't really old, it's budget. I think people including Canonical forget that it's not just old hardware that has lower specs. My laptop has better specs than say a tablet computer. If...
You see this vid yet? Awesome stuff!
Yeah it was 6.06. I had it on there then edited to 7.04. Should have trusted my gut on that one. The name implies it's late arrival. :p
Yeah I agree. Ironically, the first Linux distro I ever used was Ubuntu 7.04, it was delayed a couple of months. It seemed to work out fine that time.
Yeah that's what I'm going to do. Hopefully they'll figure out a way to make everyone happy. I just can't see the 3d version ever being as fast for some reason.
Is it me, or does creating a...
Watch Fargo (great movie) if you want to hear thick accents. They're all from the states though I think. They all have that same accent you're talking about whatever the case.
I hated Unity do to its instability, and sluggishness. I heard that if you enable the 2d version it is 100 times more stable, and responsive. So I give it a try, and it's running smooth as silk. It...
I installed the windows driver with ndiswrapper.
I'm not really sure what kind of card it is. Windows tells me it's a ar5007eg, Ubuntu says it's a ar242x. Both cards seem to use the same driver...
Wow! Guess I just assumed it was dual core because of the low clock speed(1.6 mhz) Guess it's just a p.o.s. Thanks for letting me know! lol :)
I'd be better off with a P4! The le-1640 has same...
I have a AMD Athlon Processor 2650e ran cpuinfo and got this.
processor : 0
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 15

model name : AMD Athlon(tm) Processor...
Thanks! Got another problem now about to post new thread.
I have a ati x1200. Ati dropped support for this card a while back, so I'm stuck with the xserver-xorg-video-radeon one. Is there a way to lower the gpu frequency w/o using fglrx driver?
It's also a reason people flock to it.
I saw a android pc the other day for $50 US.
Somebody will crack it. Not worried...
Interestingly enough, the problem seems to be gone now. I installed a flash update over the weekend, maybe there was some kind of regression, or something. Perhaps the fact that it didn't work when I...
No, I'll try it though.
While this skipping is occurring my system idle process is at 80% or so, so I don't think it's a bug, or rouge process, or anything.
Yeah, I don't know what the hell they're were thinking with this. I think they see the way Google uses Linux, and how versatile it is, and want to achieve something like it. It's to bad they're about...
The videos skip constantly. Does this happen to you? It's not the connection. I'll have 30 seconds of video in the buffer, and it still skips every 5 seconds. It's not the hardware. I have a 3.1...
All I see is a bunch of maybes. Maybe Microsoft will donate it's source code to the FSF, or maybe not.
Right click menus on launcher icons would be cool. Like in windows 7
This. It would be like GM scrapping their logo for the Goodyear logo because they use their tires.
