  2. [ubuntu] Ubuntu installed GRUB to my flash drive.

Re: Which movie have you watched today?

Watched The Right Stuff yesterday. I tend to be a fan of movies about our experiences with space. The movie was long but I didn't really find myself waiting/wishing for it to end.

Re: Windows 8 Secrets - New Stuff?

Not entirely sure, but wouldn't those companies having to "feat something better" be them competing, and couldn't competing be construed as competition, and isn't competition one of the ideas that...
  6. Re: My Android phone is ace... so tell me about the "superior" iphone

I love my nexus s, I don't need an iPhone. Google released a manual update for 2.3.4 last week which I was able to download and install before it even went ota.

I can tether and create mobile...
  7. Re: How much bandwidth do you use a month on your smartphone?

10-20MB. I have a 200MB limit but I don't live in an area with 3G access so most of my data just goes over wifi. The amount I do use is when I'm out of town once a week in areas that do have 3G.

Re: How long do desktops last?

Built my computer 7 years ago and I still use it every day and even for gaming (albeit slightly older games). I have had the PSU die twice on me, upgraded the video card once, and added 1.5 gigs of...

Re: Cheap, but good, DSLR cameras

A non digital SLR will easily take just as good photos but it will be more expensive to actually take pictures with having to develop them and purchase film. Not to mention the delay with snapping...

    Re: I need a smartphone

I had to bump down to 200MB for my Nexus S, which I was okay with since I don't get 3G here (Which I hate, terribly, used to live in Chicago and moved to Mid MO... can't wait to finish school), so I...

    Re: Facebook abandoned

I don't see what the problem is if you restrict all access to your information to your friends and don't accept requests from people you don't trust or don't know.

I don't use it all too much...

Re: IBM is visiting my school next week...

This is nice to hear, just because in an interview I imagined a whole lot of questions about Linux commands I might've used but can't remember and all that sort of jazz (:

    I can definitely be...

    Re: Help save dying laptop

Looks like the video card is artifacting. Make sure you DO check your connections. The one time this happened to me, it was the PSU connection to the motherboard, though not on a laptop.

    Poll: Re: COD Black Ops!

    Agreed. Bought CoD4 before I knew they were going to release a CoD4 2, CoD4 3, etc...

What's the draw with this one anyways? What does it bring that the other two don't?
