[ubuntu] Re: Macbook touchpad cursor moving "in steps"

Sorry to hear that. To be frank I never fixed the jumping issue, and then macbook died, rendering the problem irrelevant :)

Hope you'll be able to fix it!

Same issue - after fixing the responsiveness with FingerLow/FingerHigh settings of synclient I started getting the same problem with 'jumpiness' - it's really hard to point with cursor on something...

[kubuntu] Re: [HOW-TO] Upside-down image from UVC webcam

    Worked flawlessly for Jaunty, thanks!

Though I cannot help pointing out that situation with laptop uvc cameras is rather a depressing one.

Why couldn't the driver support the 'vertical flip'...

    [ubuntu] Re: Australian keyboard layout?

All I need is to replace 'USA' in tray with 'AU'.

Is that too much to ask for? :)

    Please help!

[kubuntu] Re: [HOW-TO] Upside-down image from UVC webcam

    Hi all,

I noticed that when you're trying to build the patched driver it says:

So I wonder did anyone try to do this with version from http://linuxtv.org/
    ?

    Thanks!

    [ubuntu] Re: Australian keyboard layout?

Sorry I should have made that clear - it's English layout.

I have to admit having 'USA' hanging in the panel makes me a bit sick.
Is there a way to change it to say 'AU'?

    Thanks

    [ubuntu] Australian keyboard layout?

    Hi all,

There seems to be no country named 'Australia' in the list of countries in System -> Preferences -> Keyboard, Layouts, Add layout.

Is it possible to add Australian keyboard layout to...
  11. [ubuntu] Re: Move a window from one monitor to another

    Found it:

!) Create new panel, drag it to the bottom of the screen
    2) Right click on it, 'Add to panel"
    3) Select "Window selector"

    Awesome!
  12. [ubuntu] Re: Move a window from one monitor to another

Actually, is there a way to add another panel where all the running tasks are listed, like the one at the bottom of first screen?
  13. [ubuntu] Re: Move a window from one monitor to another

That's exactly what I need, thanks!
  14. [ubuntu] Re: Move a window from one monitor to another

Thanks for the tip, eventually I ended up with setup like yours. However that breaks some programs down - for instance, Workrave stops giving you notifications. It's a workrave's problem, though.

Try DownThemAll! plugin for FF, it's pretty cool
  17. [ubuntu] Re: Move a window from one monitor to another

There's some additional details: when using Xinerama I can move windows from one monitor to another, but there's no panel at athe top/bottom of second monitor, and they both share same workspace.

    [ubuntu] Ubuntu 8.10 crashes

    Hi all,

Basically the problem is that my Ubuntu 8.10 freezes, leaving CapsLock and ScrollLock flashing. I read it's called 'kernel panic' but that's as far as my knowledge goes. I tested the RAM...
