Re: 2012 - What OS do you use?

Arch/Win7. Latter for gaming, former for everything else.

Re: Post your .conkyrc files w/ screenshots

Haven't changed a damn thing. Glad to be back on Linux. I always go for simplicity and utility, and I noticed that most conky configs are going to be covered up by windows, and me personally I always...

Man. I vanish for a few years, come back, and this thread's still alive and kicking. Nice.

Re: Can you install Froyo on rooted Devour?

It's been done with an HTC Incredible, so theoretically it's POSSIBLE, but I'm not sure I'd suggest it. The end result isn't exactly great.

Re: Which OS/OS'es are you running now?

    Right now? Just Maverick.

Ran Arch from 2007 until earlier this year, W7 from about June until two days ago.
  8. [ubuntu_studio] Re: Kildclient segmentation faulting suddenly.

Further update: I did a full reformat, and it started happening after I installed docky and gnome-do. Not before that.
  9. [ubuntu_studio] Re: Kildclient segmentation faulting suddenly.

Additionally, this happens with every version. I downloaded from SVN, tar from the site, older versions, nothing helps. And this just started today. Any ideas?
  10. [ubuntu_studio] Kildclient segmentation faulting suddenly.

That's really it. No actual error message, just a segfault. ANY idea where to go from here?

It happened after I installed docky on both Ubuntu Studio and vanilla Ubuntu, and the only way to make...

    Re: Ubuntu is going backwards

Complaining that an RC is a step backwards is a little like watching a rehearsal of a play and saying the performances were sloppy.

Re: Obvious October 2010 Screen shots

Haven't been on Ubuntu in about three years, rocking UbuntuStudio at the moment.

    Re: Android + Ubuntu. Works?

    I'll say this.

I can't read the internal storage on my rooted Inc under Arch, but that's not a huge deal.

Re: Post your Mobile Device's desktop!

Rooted HTC Incredible with Virtuous 2.2. I make extensive use of folders in the dockbar, so I don't actually need any icons on the screen itself.

    Re: Marvelous March 2010 Screenshots

Unfortunately, I have yet to find a PURE monochrome icon set that looks any good... I might go back to AllGrey though.

    Re: Ubuntu Rebranding Revealed

Bloat is subjective. It just means "does this have stuff I don't want". If you want everything a given OS comes packaged with, then it ain't bloated.

To some, Ubuntu is light, to others it's...

  23. Re: Interesting Read: IDC: "Windows dominates Linux"

Well there's nothing really to dispute, other than that the author is a douchebag who seems to regard Windows' dominance as an "upshot". Like somehow that makes his life better.

Re: What makes Ubuntu superior than openSUSE?

Popular != better, per se. If you like SUSE better, then SUSE is better for you. Ubuntu's the most popular partly because they managed to get it working on the widest array of machines early on (it...

    Re: Marvelous March 2010 Screenshots

I've been looking for a good port of the token icons for a while now. It's one of the only things that Windows customizers did REALLY right.
