Mine are doing it in recordings AND live TV.
I think it depends on which channel your viewing.If you have a high def video it goes pink if you have a SD channel it displayes okay.

Try doing the "sudo aticonfig --initial --heads=2 --adapter=1 --xinerama=on" command.. reboot.. then edit the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf file and remove any of the screens that you don't need. as in.....

That seems to be worse... It goes out quicker and sometimes on reboot the sound doesn't start at all.
I made that change and not long after the sound went out. So its not solved the problem still.
