I changed my interface language from English to Spanish and changed some of the standard folders to their Spanish equivalents (via a wizard that appeared) - e.g. 'Downloads' to 'Descargas' and...
Doh!
Sorree. Still surprised that a faulty package has been left in the usual repo (but maybe that's just me trying to look less stupid)

Just installed Codelite from the 13.04 repo, but it crashes on creating a new project. This bug is to do with the package apparently:

Sorry. Forgot to mark as solved.
Yup. That worked. Thanks.
Dunno if it helps, but the equivalent command in Linux for the Windows ipconfig is ifconfig. Try

Hi,
I have two non-repository applications installed on Ubuntu 13.04: Google Dart (because no repository version exists), and Eric4 (because the version installed from the repo segfaults). The...
If the problem is in Firefox, it's probably not the java vm on your box that is causing the problem. It's more likely the java plugin in the browser which, as I said, is the IcedTea plugin in my...
Seems to me that your problem is with running Java applets in Firefox. Is that right? The Java VM outside of the browser seems just fine, I'd imagine, or it wouldn't reply to java - version.

Thanks. Much appreciated.
Many thanks. Yep. That did it. Although, actually, I had achieved it in a roundabout way before getting your reply.

Well, I sorted two out of the three problems. Both were the results of my own stupidity.

Nice one. That worked just fine for me. Another annoying quirk ironed out. Thanks.

That's true. One system may have that installed and the other not. I'll check.
Same versions of Kile and beamer. Onething does occur to me. The problems with beamer were on a 64bit installation. The one that works is a 32bit system.
I get the crashing on both systems.
Not really. I installed Kile on a different box and worked from the Beamer template - which compiled without problem.
BTW, does Kile crash on you if you close it without closing the current...
I have a number of latex beamer files that I created about a year ago. Having now updated to the latest versions of Ubuntu and Kile, these files no longer compile. Every \end{frame} gives the error...

Oh, that was neat. Thank you so much.
Do you think the Compiz Settings ought to come with a health warning?

Doesn't work for me.
I was messing with the compiz settings and clicked on the cube thingies. Now when I login (ubuntu) I have a blank desktop with just the top bar with the desktop menu that...

Me too. Using [AltGr] just is not acceptable. I'm a programmer and I need easy ways to get to []~{} and so on.

Um. I don't really understand that. Are you saying that I have to:
Uninstall Tomcat
Add the 11.04 repositories to my repository list
Install Netbeans (from the 11.04 repository)
Reinstall...
