Sounds like something is wrong with your t91mt.
Do you have any issues when using the track pad by any chance? How about the track pad's right and left click buttons?

The pointer doesn't lift? I can't say I've had that issue in 10.10.
Can you elaborate?

twofing should work, so long as you edit the rules file to point it at the correct device, since twofing was written with the t101mt in mind. There should be another post regarding 10.10 and twofing...
I suggest ignoring the above and checking out this thread instead: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1229345&highlight=t91mt
And for the touchscreen, check out the first post in this...
Plippo has released a new version of twofing, it's available for download from here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/T101MT#EXPERIMENTAL%20TWO-FINGER%20TOUCH%20DAEMON
Just one change that T91MT...
the copy of twofing that I attached has a hackish workaround for the seg fault I had been experiencing, so, hopefully you won't get that crashing problem at all..
if you drag two fingers along the...
T91MT owners: you should add the utouch PPA and install the hid-mosart-dkms package, it contains the patched mosart kernel module, which has functional multitouch.
sudo add-apt-repository...
more good news..
twofing works.. almost, it crashes after a few gestures, but it does briefly work, kinetic scrolling and all..
One thing about twofing though, the udev rule needs to be...
alright, good news, I've applied the patches from Benjamin tissories, disabled the multitouch quirk, and lsmod confirms that I'm now using the mosart driver for the touch screen.
I've attached the...
I don't know if anyone else here read this on the kernel mailing list, it's from october, but it seems that there is a patch for the mosart kernel driver, which should mean that we'll be able to use...
The mosart kernel driver doesn't support pressure sensitivity.. It's unfortunate, becuase it would be really useful for painting programs. Hopefully someone will complete the driver.
fortunately for cyberblade, at least his screen isn't on the "hid should never handle this device" list, like the t91mt's screen is(which necessitates a driver rebuild to take it off that list, and...
You can confirm this is from a T101MT? If so, it means Asus has revised the hardware.
The reason why the pointer goes to the top left if because the default hid driver doesn't understand...
Can you provide the output from the lsusb command?
Looking at hid-mosart.c.. it doesn't emit any details about the pressure of the touch, that would explain the lack of input for that. What is odd is that the x axis of the input is being mapped by...
I gave twofing a whirl again yesterday(Note: you have to modify the udev rule to use the device at "0185" rather than the device id that is already specified).
Once calibration has been done, it...
hid-mosart doesn't get used, seems quite strange to me, you would think that this should be used?
Well, maybe it's a mistake? Looking through hid-core.c, the t91mt was added to the ignore list...
It seems that you missed a step, you need to add the multitouch quirk:
Edit /usr/src/multitouch-1.5/drivers/hid/usbhid/hid-quirks.c
Add the following line after "} hid_blacklist[] = {"
{...
it was a typo, I'll fix my post
Please follow the instructions given by H3g3m0n in the first post, they cover everything here and more.
This is what is needed to get the touch screen working:
1) as warewolf mentioned, install...
So you're saying this was done intentionally? That would explain a lot.
Thank you for figuring this out, I have been watching these threads for quite a while with some disappointment.
PS: if...
Hi Everyone, I've been following this thread for about a week.. I did have a severe issue with random freezes when I used the touch screen, though it has subsided since I followed kgingeri's...
