    [ubuntu] Re: Rhythmbox Playlist confusion

I notice similar behavior - if I plug in my iPod, then unmount, every static playlist on my device duplicates; that is to say, the each track looks like it's been re-added, in order, in every static...

[ubuntu] Re: Rhythmbox loses iPod generated playlists

    Still happens in 2.97.

So Rhythmbox will basically delete any static playlist that is not created and synced in Rhythmbox. This includes static playlists created by hitting right-click->New...

[ubuntu] Rhythmbox loses iPod generated playlists

    Ubuntu 12.04 x64
    Rhythmbox 2.96

Syncing w/ my iPod Classic 120GB works for the most part save for one irritation: any On-The-Go playlist (be it the On-The-Go playlist itself or saved from it)...
  4. [ubuntu] Re: Audio hw setting keeps changing itself to HDMI

gnugu (and anyone else who has this issue) -

I just updated to 12.04, and the problem has gone away.
  5. [ubuntu] Re: Audio hw setting keeps changing itself to HDMI

    Just noticed another symptom today:
If I log out and log back in, Ubuntu sets the default sound profile to HDMI, but will also now only detect "Dummy Output" as an output device no matter which...
  6. [ubuntu] Re: Audio hw setting keeps changing itself to HDMI

Interestingly enough, hitting the power button on the offending monitor does not cause the issue. However, unplugging/replugging in the HDMI connector does replicate.

    dmesg output upon resume...
  7. [ubuntu] Re: Audio hw setting keeps changing itself to HDMI

I've got the exact same issue, and it seems like it started a week or so ago after some updates. A quick look at dmesg output tells me that the monitor hooked up via HDMI is telling Ubuntu that it...

is pretty much exactly what I've been experiencing, though I'm only rocking 2 monitors. Applications on the left...

[ubuntu] Re: 11.10, HD 3000, confusion

    Solved!

I was going to post my Xorg.0.log output, but after I killed the Nvidia drivers and yoinked the card, X wasn't starting automatically. Manual startx -> Desktop. Still no glxgears.

[ubuntu] Re: 11.10, HD 3000, confusion

    Thanks.

I have my old Nvidia card in the machine right now, so I won't be able to post the Xorg.0.log until I get back home and pull it. But since the driver should be good to go, my suspicion...

    [ubuntu] 11.10, HD 3000, confusion

Should Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit support Intel Sandy Bridge HD 3000 graphics with acceleration out of the box? I've been Googling around for *hours* and am just getting unrelated and conflicting results....

[ubuntu] Re: Disc Drive randomly stops mounting

I'm going to go ahead and bump this because I'm experiencing this issue in 11.04 64-bit, and it is driving me insanely bonkers.

CD/DVD media will mount for a while, but eventually no media will...
