Since Ushare will no longer supported and not working on 10.04. MediaTomb is a great substitute. It is really easy to install. http://ps3mediaservers.com/2010/05/19/mediatomb-linux-media-server/

One thing it was missing was DVD playback, why don't they just put that in from the start? I know "copyright" but really it is just an apt-get away. I have 2 steps for DVD playback on 10.04

As a matter of fact check out My ps3 home theater.
Love Handbrake, used it to convert all of my videos (305 so far) to play on my PS3. Handbrake is multithreaded so it will use all of my processors and you can que up jobs. Great tool.
There is a setting on the Itouch to use it as a USB drive. Once you enable that Ubuntu finds it and it can move files to it easily. Also you may have to encode your videos for the Itouch. Check out...
Viruses can seem to effect hardware, but they are only making software changes within that hardware. If that makes sense. A virus can change the partition table on your hard drive makeing the drive...
