As the file is already in the PATH, you don't need a prefix like, "./" or "bash" or "sh".
Just simply use/type
nameofscript.sh

Can't spend more days troubleshooting this out.
From past two days, I stuck at 640x480 resolution after installing nvidia drivers, tryied searching for the solutions but faild get my resolution back.

How are you trying to install? USB/liveCD ?
correct me if I am wrong, default gnome environment use's LightDM or GDM, as the OP said he was using gnome Desktop. :]
You can install it by:
sudo apt-get install gdm
Select "gdm" from the next screen. :]
Reconfigure your display manager.
sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm

I don't find anything wrong there, just hit enter button at last line, instead of ^c
You can also check at ~/.confg/autostart directory and delete all those applications with rm command.
