Back after a break. :)
The first post says to use linuxwacom 0.8.5-10 or 0.8.5-11; however, the latest release is 0.8.5-12, which means the older versions aren't available anymore. Could someone...
TheguywholikesLINUX, some of your problems sound like things we had but seem to have overcome (no eraser, the left-click issue). Are you sure you don't have any old fdi's or so hang around?
...
I haven't been able to reproduce that problem. Dunno if it was just a weird circumstance, or if my Debian updates since then have changed things...
Replace the file /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/20thirdparty/10-linuxwacom.fdi with the new fdi and reboot. Make sure that you don't have several fdi's for wacom in that directory.
Hi ob1kenobi,
just testing your latest patch with its fdi.
What I've noticed about starting X and plugging in the tablet:
Start X while tablet is plugged in:
Stylus and eraser are fine,...
Yes, confirmed for the d3:
$ xsetwacom list
touch touch
stylus stylus
eraser eraser
pad padEDIT: Great, I can configure the tablet buttons now! For some reason, my buttons from...
One of the files was an lsusb output, here it comes again.
See attached files.
Which would be what part exactly?
OK, tried 34 with Favux test2 fdi from the first post.
One hang of cursor movement withh touch so far, and one occasion where somehow the focus was stuck to my terminal window. I could move the...
I thought patch 34 is basically 25.4 that I'm using? Don't get confused by the fact that the paths in my debug masseges say 25.3, that's because I had named the directory wrong. Or what do you meabn...
I've been using the tablet the whole day yesterday, mostly the stylus, not the touch (accidentally issuing left-clicks once in a while makes working with the touch a bit annoying). I had one hang of...
OK, let's try find your wacom.ko file. Can you run
find . -name "*.ko"
in the linuxwacom directory and post the output?
Can you tell us how you run the configure command and what the last lines of output are? They should look something like this:
BUILD ENVIRONMENT:
architecture - x86_64-linux-gnu
...
OK, still on 25.4. So far I had one X hang, but it was gone so fast I hadn't time to investigate the source of the noise. Touch cursor movement has been very reliable thus far, no hangs (it was worse...
I will try to find out once it happens again, it's not that often. Off to bed now. :)
It's a laptop, Lenovo Thinkpad T400, speakers are left of the Esc/F1 keys and right of the Backspace/PageUp/PageDown keys.
For me, the tablet isn't working after resuming, I need to unplug/replug it afterwards, which leads to a wrong scale. (I'm on Debian Testing with Xorg 7.4)
I have two different effects, both of which have occured with 25.2 and 25.4:
1.) touch stops moving the cursor
2.) X hangs completely with weird noise and cursor turning into a clock
Both...
I just had touch not responding again (X was fine this time, though). I was just using touch, not switching between stylus or mouse or anything and the cursor stopped moving. When I tapped on the...
I'm afraid it is, because it was very similar to what I was experiencing yesterday with 25.2. (And I'm using my machine a lot without tablet, and it runs stable)
25.4 with its fdi.
I don't have the left-click effect anymore, which is a great relief! Setting touch to relative mode works out of the box (no need to set bottomx and bottomy with xsetwacom)....
I've made it a habit to always reboot after installing a new patch. But I've found out: If the tablet is plugged in when I restart X, I get the correct scale. If I (re)plug it in later (no matter if...
On first quick test, 25.4 (and the fdi that comes with it) seems the same as yesterday: Stylus and eraser ok, topmost two buttons are right and middle click. With absolute touch I can only access the...
xsetwacom set touch Mode relativeWe should collect important xsetwacom commands and stuff in the first post.
The last patches I tested were 31 and 25.2, and while I had X hanging twice with the latter, I still could change to a Linux concole. One time X got unstuck when I pressed a tablet button. The other...
