I used a program called Universal-USB-Installer to extract the files on to the USB. everything seemed to go well. im not a brute, just a noob lol.
thanks, im just not used to the whole command line install lol. GUI is much less scary :P
ubuntu install is acting weird... i guess
im installing ubuntu from a flash drive on to an empty hard drive. it keeps on repeating the same lines of commands (ending with kernel_helper (or something like that) )and it shows some hexadecimals...
