[ubuntu] Re: Ubunutu and the asus zenbook (UX31)

In fact it does not occur every time I unplugged it.
I tried to start or wake up the laptop without the power plug, and when it has entered Gnome, plug it.
I run Debian with a handmade Kernel, but...

[ubuntu] Re: Ubunutu and the asus zenbook (UX31)

Has anyone faced a shutdown when unplugging AC Power ?
For me it's the most annoying issue. Sometimes when I unplugged the Ac Power the laptop shutdowns immediatly.

[ubuntu] Re: Ubunutu and the asus zenbook (UX31)

Here is my final configuration for my UX21 with Debian :
SID 64bits, kernel 3.2-rc7 from experimental + headers.
I have got rid of the built-in asix.ko since it made my laptop crashed.

[ubuntu] Re: Ubunutu and the asus zenbook (UX31)

    Hi,

I have also tried hard to setup Debian on my UX21. I generally use SID for laptops.
I have compiled a 3.2-rc7 kernel which gave pretty good results at the beginning.
    But soon I have dealt...

[ubuntu] Re: Ubunutu and the asus zenbook (UX31)

I used to face the same issue with a handcrafted 3.2 kernel.
To debug thoses crashes I opened an ssh connection and tailed -f the syslog.
For what I saw, it's the asix driver which is messing up....

[ubuntu] Re: Ubunutu and the asus zenbook (UX31)

I am currently fed-up with trying to setup Debian on this laptop.
With my new kernel and the built-in asis driver, I get crashes when a big network load occurs.

I think I'm going to revert to...

[ubuntu] Re: Bluetooth doesn't pick up devices

I have just patched a 3.2 kernel and I am currently compiling it.
I will let you know if it works.
You can't apply the diffs directly on the 3.2 sources since they don't come from the same trunK.

[ubuntu] Re: Ubunutu and the asus zenbook (UX31)

    Hi all,

I've come to a reasonable point where I can use my UX21 quite normally.
everything is working except the bluetooth which is still the point.
