To get Nvidia drivers working on this kernel, check this thread on devtalk.nvidia.com
It is for 346.xx drivers, but maybe it will work for 304.xx also.

If anyone is having problems with Nvidia drivers and 3.19-rc1 kernel, here is how to make them work:
Change f_dentry to f_path.dentry in nv.c and nv-frontend.c files. And change...
@runrickus: I never sad that 3.14.0-031400rc7-lowlatency is RT. It does have things needed for lowlatency (full preempt and 1000Hz), but it doesn't have realtime patchset. :)
uname -a
Linux c2d-desktop 3.14.0-rc6-core2duo #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Mar 10 13:40:16 CET 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
You can check my howto for compiling kernel:...
That is exactly why I sad that you need kernel with 1000Hz and PREEMPT. With it, there are no sound glitches with "tsched=1". :)
No I didn't. I don't know if the config will work for everyone. Because it uses realtime priority, it can't work without problems for everyone. You need custom kernel with 1000Hz and PREEMPT for it...
Here is my config of pulseaudio that gives much, much better sound then the default one. For this to work fully, you need to install this packages: rtkit, ladspa-sdk, swh-plugins, tap-plugins,...
I am glad. Thank you for remainding me about autogen.sh. I forgot about it, becouse you need to use it just for the first time, and I did that few years ago. :D I added that step into the howto.
Oh, yea, sorry for that. I forgot to edit that part. :D
I will fix it now. :D
Edit: Fixed. :)
P.S. BTW, that is the directory where I keep pulseaudio source.
@zika: When you add a PPA, "Source" part is not added automaticaly. Go To Software Sources and check the Source part of that PPA. Then it should work.
Here it is: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2210602&p=12954078#post12954078
To compile Pulseaudio from git, you need to follow this few steps.
1) First we will need to install some dependencys (deps in the rest of the text). So, open terminal and paste this:
sudo...
I compiled pulseaudio from git on Saucy and it works great. :)
pulseaudio --version
pulseaudio 5.0-6-g9271c1
For me, pulseaudio worked much better if I compile it, then the one from repos....
To get Nvidia drivers working, take a look at my solution here:

So I am the only one who gets a system freez with patched driver installed on 3.12-rcX kernel? :(
Here is the patch for 319.17 driver version on 3.10-rc2+ kernel:
https://devtalk.nvidia.com/default/topic/543728/linux/building-nvidia-driver-on-kernel-3-9-0/post/3814531/#3814531
Do you guys...
When you don't have flash installed, youtube plays with HTML5 player.
Strange, a patch that was used for pre-310.xx versions for 3.7 kernel worked. Driver 313.09 without that patch compiles on 3.7 and 3.7.1 kernel (and -rcX before that), but it needs that patch on...
Then what is the problem with my configuration? Here is my kernel configuration: http://pastebin.com/bmbdm6zr
Did anyone of you made a patch for nvidia binary?
I get this errors when I try to install v313.09
http://pastebin.com/F30rJLmC
It is not used by any app/process. It is a bug with incorrect NR_FREE_PAGES accounting. It is fixed in new 3.7-rc7 kernel.
...
Memory leak that we expirianced is fixed in latest git. :D
"fix incorrect NR_FREE_PAGES accounting (appears like memory leak)"
@zika: Do you have any idea what is the problem with this past -rc2 kernel and memory usage increase for active buffers?
After 2 days uptime, it happend again. Maybe it's use of some specific software that makes kernel leak memory. :(
It was 7600GT until few days ago. But had so much trouble with it on 1080p monitor, so I have bought a new nVidia GT640 2GB. Running 310.14 beta drivers.
