  1. Re: More nvidia problems- can't set correct resolution

My video modes went bad after the recent nvidia driver update.

I fixed it by removing this line from my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file:

    Option "DynamicTwinView" "False"

    I'd originally added that...
  2. Re: RFH: Do you get 0-byte recordings? (Even infrequently) Please post info about it

It does happen exactly the same with either tuner.

    Bug submitted: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1088733
  3. Re: RFH: Do you get 0-byte recordings? (Even infrequently) Please post info about it

    Shall do.

I have another tuner with the same chipset, but a different vendor. I want to check these bisect kernels against this tuner as well, just to make sure it's not just some local hardware...

I'm going to try bisecting this and see if I can't narrow it down to an actual commit.

This might take a little while - need to wait until no-one's...
  6. Re: RFH: Do you get 0-byte recordings? (Even infrequently) Please post info about it

My tuner problems seem to have been introduced with the 3.2.0-32 kernel, and are still happening with 3.2.0-33. I get near-perfect recording with 3.2.0-31.

Rocco64 - have you tried this with the...
  7. Re: RFH: Do you get 0-byte recordings? (Even infrequently) Please post info about it

Bit of a late reply here, but I've recently gone done a two-step update.

First from 11.10/0.24 to 11.10/0.25, which worked fine, then after a week or two updated to 12.04/0.25.

    Since the 12.04...

    Re: System lock-up, overheating?

Apart from the lockups, there's no indication that overheating is the actual problem is there?

Maybe try booting into memtest86+ and let that run for a while?
