I have vcd which contain .dat files in his mpegav folder. I am trying to play this .dat file but whenever i paly it using vlc, vlc stop respnding..

Mplayer shows the error of...

I just have a doubt in installation process of ubuntu 8.04 hardy. As it gives me problem of (initramfs)shell problem. Is there is any solution for that.
