    I have this also. Where I work uses a WPA2 enterprise configuration, so I have to resort to using the guest network and then SSHing or VPNing back... very frustrating.

    Kernel 3.2.0-26 from Kamal Mostafa's PPA has working multi-touch scrolling.

    Like psypher said, don't forget to enable "Two-finger Scrolling" in "Mouse and Touchpad Settings." ...

    Here is how I have set myself up to use the xps_touch_man service.

    I appended the following to the end of my ~/.profile

    xhost SI:localuser:root

    which will automatically give the root user...
