    [SOLVED] Re: Intel 3956ABG wireless not working with WPA

    Thank you! This fixed my issue with my Linksys WRT54G. The computer showed that my network was available but would not connect. After installing wicd and removing Network Manager, I'm all set. :p

    @j1gs4w88 Thanks! This worked for me. Unlocking was the key. Why didn't I think of that? :D

    Re: Mono

    I copied your code, which I thought looked correct, compiled it, and ran it with no problem.

    I used:

    mcs hello.cs

    to compile, and

    mono hello.exe

    widget->currnetitem()->text()

    currentitem returns a QListWidgetItem, which has a method text(), which returns a QString.

    I have not tried this, just read the documentation...

    Re: MS Visual Basic Express

    I'll second the motion for Gambas. The IDE is wonderful (particularly in the development version, Gambas2) and the language is a BASIC dialect that should be very familiar to Visual Basic users. ...
  15. Re: What language/GUI type for Multiplatform App?

    I prefer wxPython for cross-platform GUI programming, mainly for lazy reasons: listboxes, printing, and spreadsheet-grids are easy to code. For WYSIWYG design, check out wxGlade. wxPython also...

    Gambas is nice. The stable version is available via Synaptic. Piece of cake install.
