  2. [ubuntu] Re: Server 8.10 on USB. Help with Boot CD and ifconfig?

    Howdy,

    It looks as though this link has the info that you require as far as booting a Ubuntu 8.10 system, but unfortunately isn't OS independent:

    Thanks shaggy999. I think that I am going to go for the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R (link) (link). For some reason newegg didn't list this board with 8 ports and the price is right! Anyone have any...

    Re: C++ Clock Program

    FYI, I think that your c++ is a little out of date. Header files haven't been used since the standardization in '98, but some compilers still support them.
  8. Re: Need help naming my OpenSource Project

    I think that you should call your project Mothra, it's a bug, it's big, and I just like the name.

    Even better, here is a collection of all of the libraries that compiz updates, and if you have a version mismatch with the -dev libraries, you can download them here:

    Re: Repositories consistently slow

    Hmm, i don't know what your problem is, but I know what it isn't. You're much closer to the repos and I get good speed:

    Re: Repositories consistently slow

    I must have a repo in my list that you don't have (and I thought that it was hilarious that traceroute doesn't come with the standard install). You can try tracepath instead:

    Re: Repositories consistently slow

    well, it seems that ubuntu doesn't install traceroute by default, so you have to:
