    Ok, definitely didn't change anything.
  7. [ubuntu] Re: Realtek wireless constantly timing out

Doesn't appear to be.. same problem. It takes forever trying to connect, *if* it connects, it times out after 20-30sec. I've tried No Encryption, WEP, WPA, WPA2... all do the same thing.

  10. [SOLVED] Re: Really slow wireless internet on ubuntu 11.10

You should make sure you have the same hardware as the people that are being helped, when following instructions. You're using an Intel 4965, so start your search there.
  11. [SOLVED] Re: My network doesnt appear on the wifi list

Have you tried just "creating a new connection" as if you were connecting to a hidden network... to see if it will let you on your network?
  12. [SOLVED] Re: Really slow wireless internet on ubuntu 11.10

Just for grins, I booted a live USB of 11.04, and still have the exact same problem. Don't really wanna go back to 10.04, but I guess if I have to, I can.

Edit: I just booted a Live USB of...

  16. [ubuntu] Realtek wireless constantly timing out

This is driving me crazy. I've used Linux for a while, and never had a problem like this. Granted, I've always been very particular about stuff I buy, and usually use Atheros wireless devices.. but...

  18. Reverse remote connection with Windows user?

  19. Re: I'm liking Natty so far, just one thing

I tried that system monitor.. it's not near as good as it doesn't give an easy way to kill a misbehaving app (my main reason for liking system monitor).

I know how to switch between "Classic" and...

  21. Re: I'm liking Natty so far, just one thing

Cairo Dock... I don't really like it and it doesn't really work like the old panel applets used to. It is simply the icon for system monitor, rather than the actual "monitor" that the old panel...

[ubuntu] Re: Install Ubuntu 10.10 completely

Well, at this point, if the installer has froze, you have no choice but to attempt a restart... I'm not aware of any terminal command that will "restart" the installer where it left off.
  24. [SOLVED] Re: Absolute beginner in need of help installing Ubuntu

If he's got 10.10.. There's no reason to download ubuntu 10.04... It's not going to change hardware recognition.

OP... did you download the 10.10img file, or the 10.10 ISO?
  25. Re: how can i remove or disable panel which is left on screen

Well, you're on an Ubuntu forum, so I'd suggest either Ubuntu 10.04 or 10.10... but even it is only stable if your hardware is.. boot a live CD and try it.
