ok guys... i fixed the problem myself..... just went to system>> preferences>> keyboard and under the accessibility tab i unchecked ignore fast duplicate keys.....

ok i'm having this issue with my keyboard and it just started today. don't really know the cause of the problem.
when i want to use the same key twice successfully, i have to wait for a few seconds...
