  11. Re: Nemo and right-click > change desktop background

    Thanks but it wouldn't work.
So I changed it to "Change settings" and removed "background" from the name and path.
    I can live with that.
But it's still stupid that they can't fix that dead "change...
  12. Re: Nemo and right-click > change desktop background

Thanks but this links to unity, which I don't have installed.
So the new entry doesn't do anything.
I'm using gnome shell. Gnome shell uses gnome-control-center
  13. Re: Nemo and right-click > change desktop background

    Bump
  14. Re: Nemo and right-click > change desktop background

No I got rid of nautilus long ago.
    Nemo is controlling the desktop.
I just need to link "change desktop background" to gnome setting's background dialog.
  15. Nemo and right-click > change desktop background

Hello. My file manager is nemo.
When I right click to change desktop background, the link doesn't work.
Not a big deal though. I can change the background from gnome settings.

    Error after update

Hello. Most apps have stopped working now.
For instance, dconf-editor is giving me this error:

  18. [ubuntu] Re: Video editor with awesome effects and keyboard shortcuts.

Studio quality is not really that important
But I think I'm done here.
I'm really depressed to see that there are no good video editors for linux. And just as disappointed to see all these people...
  19. [ubuntu] Re: Video editor with awesome effects and keyboard shortcuts.

    Bump

Here's a challenge for you guys thinking / claiming that linux has good video editing software.
    Do something like this:

  20. [ubuntu] Re: Video editor with awesome effects and keyboard shortcuts.

Well. I have already explained what I'm looking for in multiple posts with both images and video examples of what I'm trying to do in linux.
    Try making this in Cinelerra:...
  21. [ubuntu] Re: Video editor with awesome effects and keyboard shortcuts.

Trust me. I have tried all these free editors.
  22. [ubuntu] Re: Video editor with awesome effects and keyboard shortcuts.

Ok so, what non-free video editors are there?
I am still waiting for that list of $200 video editors some guy were bragging about?
It has to be solid stable.
  23. [ubuntu] Re: Video editor with awesome effects and keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks but kdenlive is way too buggy. And trust me. I've tried. Once you copy and paste more than 10 mini clips after each other, the program just crash.
And no there aren't any live movement...
  24. [ubuntu] Re: I need a good video editor with awesome effects and keyboard shortcuts.

Well. On page one I explained pretty much why I need a good video editor and gave video examples.
I need it for making YouTube Poops. In other words fast editing, copy/paste millisecond clips, use...
  25. [ubuntu] Re: I need a good video editor with awesome effects and keyboard shortcuts.

They're all for pretty much basic editing.
They all lack of features, functionality and effects.
Maybe I should just go back to Windows.
I'm really trying to use linux here. But with all its...
