It really makes no sense, but if you purchase the song/album and then wait a few minutes and go to the ubuntu one website, and just download them, one by one from there, it actually works. There is...
The biggest issue I had with installing Natty Beta 2 was with Grub. I tried to install it (Natty Beta 2) to an external HD just for giggles, and the resulting install left my internal SSD unbootable!...
I'm trying to use it with the "icon only" option set, and some icons look really good, but most look hideous. I have copied better quality icons into every theme folder I could think or and updated...

Also, when I disable "wallpaper", the "desktop cube deformation" plugin stops working. weird.
Sorry for the late reply...
I believe this has to do with the Compiz plugin "wallpaper", as it only happens when that is enable. I looked through the logs, but I don't really know what to look...
Worked for me! Thanks!
No really, does this actually work with xserver 1.9? I would love it too, but I tried, believe you me I tried...
Did you use duct tape??
This thread is about xserver 1.9, but the thread with the solution you mentioned only talks about lucid and maverick beta, neither one of which use xserver 1.9, so it's still not going to work for...
When I do a
sudo apt-get remove gnome-keyring I get the exact same output as I posted above for

Weird.
Anyone else seen this? It looks like me trying to...
I have the same issue, and when I did a

Hey, when I first boot 10.10 it looks jumbled. I can easily fix it by CTRL+ALT+F1 then CTRL+ALT+F7, but I'd like to get it so it I don't have to work around anything. I am using Compiz with the open...
Bellisimo! Thanks!
Just tried firefox, no grey boxes! Maybe I will switch back...
I upgraded from 10.5, and got the same issue as Scibax, where the Catalyst Control Center tells me I'm running 10.5 instead of 10.7.
Other than that, it's OK. I was using the backclear patched...
I'm looking for the same fix... seems so simple, but it ain't.
tried the acpi_skip_timer_override, and it increased the boot time to about 5 minutes or more... My freezes seem to be getting further apart with no kernel options, but it will probably freeze in a...
