I've noticed the same problem (after converting my wife's netbook from ubuntu to lubuntu). It looks like an old bug described here as allegedly "solved", so I'm not sure why we're still seeing...
Very cool. Is there any easy way to modify it so that it also retains your next most recent kernel (in addition to your current one) as backup, and only removes kernels from the third one onwards?
I had this problem on all sorts of full-screen games (including dosbox games). Uninstalling 'unclutter' fixed it. Thanks!
Same problem here with 10.10 ubuntu netbook edition
I followed the instructions here to install 2.6.36-rc7
Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. After booting, it displays the splash screen and a couple of startup programs (e.g. guake), but then...
Any suggestions for where to report this bug?
There may be other intel graphics issues that aren't solved. But the games I was concerned about (in my original post) are now playable, since I changed my software sources mirror to the standard US...
Marking thread as solved -- it turns out my problems were due to Software Sources assigning me to a bad mirror, and hence my system hadn't updated properly.
Wow. I'd been wondering why I hadn't gotten any security updates since upgrading to Maverick RC a week or two ago. It turns out that it's because I'd let Ubuntu's Software Sources application...
Ok, thanks!
Thanks, I figured it must be something like that. Is it possible to fix, or will I need to resort to a clean install?
Yes, same issue (amongst others) here! I'd be curious if you share the other bugs I listed...
I should add that the 'locations' option under the clock panel applet seems to be missing. I can change the date and time, but can't set a location, and so Redshift no longer works.
Also, the...

Just updated from Lucid to Maverick UNE. (It froze at one point, so I killed it from a virtual console and used 'dpkg --configure -a' to complete the installation.)
My question: Isn't the new...

It's a bit unreliable though. I now prefer to use unpnup or (in windows) papercrop. (Google for more info on these.)

Hey, I don't much like FPS, RTS (except warcraft 1-3), or action/arcade (except Gridwars), which seems to rule out most of the recommendations offered in other threads.
What I do like are...
Hi, I'm using Avant Window Navigator as a dock/launcher in Intrepid, but I've noticed that if I set it to 'autohide' (i.e. so that it only becomes visible if I shift the mouse to the bottom of the...
Huh, it seems to have fixed itself. (I've no idea how or why...)
I usually click along with the mouse as I read, but now Firefox hangs whenever I try to click on or select the text in the body of a Gmail message. (This is only when using the 'newer version' of...
Ah, it does indeed allow for multi-page pdfs! Very helpful, thanks.
