  1. Re: Would you use IE9 if it was able to run on Linux

Sorry, sir. You are correct. It is IE8. Nonetheless, they will need to really do some work for me to enjoy it.

    Re: Any homebrewers?

I haven't done it before with beer, but my dad has. Just remember not to bottle it too early. Pretty much listen to what the person tells you at the store, they will probably know what kind of stuff...
  3. Re: Would you use IE9 if it was able to run on Linux

No. I have it on my brand new computer and within a few days, I installed Chrome and never use it except to watch the live Starz channel on Netflix.

Re: Windows for the first time in years

If you DO, I would request 7 starter (Haven't tried the other versions yet). It's nice and light and can run really well on netbooks.

Re: Windows for the first time in years

I feel for you. I spent hours getting rid of all the HP pre-loaded bloat and essentially halved my RAM usage. The new Emachines netbook I have now had the same kind of problems, but not nearly as...

Re: Any good sci-fi series on air?

    My Personal faves:

    1. Fringe
    2. Chuck (More espionage than Sci-fi, but has some good sci-fi elements)
    3. Stargate Universe
    4. Caprica
    5. Warehouse 13 (Though a bit goofy, still enjoyable)

    Re: Buying a quality netbook

eMachines eM250-1162. Awesome little thing with a rockin' 250gig HD. IMO the only negative about it is the 3 cell battery. It's basically just a rebranded Acer.

    Re: bosses on facebook?

My "bosses" are as much of friends as they are bosses. IMO, unless they're jerks, it's more fun to have them add you OR you add them as a constant reminder that they have to put up with you on a...

I would definitely go by what they say in that guide posted and I know the effects of these "death formulas". Sadly, though, some of the formulas specific to animals can actually KILL them. The...

I kinda believe it was a joke, but I certainly agree with that Cariboo. I also agree with CharlesA on his second suggestion, it could be bloatware causing the problem, but it could ALSO be an overall...

It seems strange to me because you're talking good hardware and it's having issues. Mine's an Atom processor netbook with 1g RAM running 7 Basic and no real annoyances yet. Same thing goes for our...

Re: 1Mbs Cable from Comcast (USA)

I think what he meant here is that Mb/s doesn't mean the same as MB/s. Essentially, what you are looking at here is 1MB/s +/- when it states 10 Mb/s. I have 3Mb/s which, as the computer shows as I'm...

Re: Use Open Source? Then You're a Pirate!

    Re: Netbooks
