You've got that right. I have an ATI 9200 and an nVIDIA 5500 and the nVIDIA is by far the better. (I'm not talking speed as the cards are different.)

I can confirm that Half-Life 2 works really well with Ubuntu and Cedega. I play it on linux over windows as it seems a bit quicker (because I've turned off pixel shaders... :-) ) The $15 for 3 months...
