xubuntu will boot on Asus Eeepc 1000 and 1000 HD machines.

The first is running a celeron processor and the second an atom.

Download xubuntu 11.04.

You need to set up a usb stick for booting...

I'm trying to get 11.04 onto an eeepc 1000 and eeepc 1000HD using a usb sandisc stick.

Not with much success.

The eeepc 1000HD runs Netbook Remix ok.
