  1. [ubuntu] Dash opens new browser tab for each letter typed

Press "start menu" key to open Dash. Start typing. For each letter I type, a new browser tab opens in my open browser window, or if I don't have a browser window open, one opens and new tabs open...
  2. [ubuntu] Re: Blinking cursors all across desktop and unable to access virtual terminals

  3. [ubuntu] Blinking cursors all across desktop and unable to access virtual terminals

This video I made demonstrates the problem.

  4. [ubuntu] Re: Mouse cursor wraps from right to left side of screen

So, I purged fglrx as described here.

    Mouse wrap problem gone. Yay.

Re-install fglrx and the problem comes back. Boo.

Some sort of configuration is persisting, but I don't know where to...

[ubuntu] Re: Convert mdadm 6 disk raid5 to 5 disk raid5

I think I spoke a little too soon.

LVM was working fine while I just had the spare in the one array. I removed the spare (I'm sure I got the right one), but now I can't mount my LVM volume.

    If...

[ubuntu] Re: Convert mdadm 6 disk raid5 to 5 disk raid5

I finally got around to working on this.

I wanted to mention a potential snafu: The --array-size command takes its parameter in what I think are blocks...not in bytes!

    If you do:

[ubuntu] Re: Convert mdadm 6 disk raid5 to 5 disk raid5

Thanks. You gave me just the info I needed!

There's no worry about the filesystem size. The whole reason I need to do this is that I just added the drive to the mdadm array and then found out...

[ubuntu] Convert mdadm 6 disk raid5 to 5 disk raid5

I know you can fail and then remove a drive from a RAID5 array. This leaves the array in a degraded state.

How can you remove a drive and convert the array to just a regular, clean array?
