[ubuntu] Re: uber n00b ubuntu web server

Is your server at work behind a firewall? If so, you'd have to get your IT department to open a port for you.
  2. [ubuntu] Re: Using Ubuntu to repair an infected Windows Partition

I've used one of the linux based antivirus systems to clean up a rootkit on a friend's computer. Once I zapped the rootkit, windows based tools cleaned it the rest of the way.

    Re: Easy Programming Language..

I'm a software engineer, using many different languages, but from looking at what's out there, I agree with the suggestion to start with Python. It is powerful, but simple to get started with.

    Re: PHP Help

That will work, too, but as a database developer, I know from experience that using reserved words just causes confusion. For my own coding, I never use them for column names.

    Re: PHP Help

One potential issue that I see is that you have a column named "group". That is a reserved word in MySQL, so that may cause problems. You should rename it to "groupname" or something so that you...

Re: Java Print Part of String

That would be a great place to use a regular expression. Regexes excel in parsing text like your example. Just Google for "regular expression" java for more information.

    Re: MySQL database question

The db files from EasyWorship are not in MySQL format. You'll have create the songs one at a time, unless you know of a way to export them from EasyWorship (And I'm pretty sure that isn't supported).
