    I have had this problem in every version of Firefox, and truly every good browser I have used. Turn off a feature called "smooth scrolling" and it should work much better. I use the same Firefox.

    Ubuntu 7.10. When ever I try to open Synaptic Package Manager or Add/Remove Applications, it comes up with this error:

    E: Type '<!DOCTYPE' is not known on line 1 in source list...
  8. I have a few programs installed on Ubuntu through Wine, and need to remove them.

    Wine seems to be as unreliable as actually using Windows. I tried Applications>Wine>Remove Wine Software and went through the uninstaller dialogs, but a few things remain. I need to get rid of iTunes...

    I have. I was just using Vista so I could use iTunes for my iPod, but I found a good program that works for that, so I dont need windows anymore.

    I just turned 20, and I use ubuntu for internet, music, movies, making ringtones, and school stuff. The same as anyone uses any computer for.
