I know how to use Google, retard. Did you ever think that I've never used Kubuntu and barely know anything about it? I don't know what the window manager is called, so of course I won't know to...
I'm running Kubuntu 10.04 and GNOME-Do that I installed through KPackage. Why won't it open when there are windows visible? I hate having to minimize windows to use GNOME-Do.
I installed Kubuntu 10.04 fresh and can't get it to recognize my iPhone 3GS. This is a deal-breaker for me unless there's a workaround. Let me know if this is possible and, if so, how to do it.
This isn't a problem of speed, so searching for "slow wireless" as you suggested is pointless. Relevant searches have turned up nothing but complaints and people like you saying "we know! we know!"...
Now, no events appear.

Conky doesn't show all my GCal events for today, but it shows all the events on Wednesday and Thursday. I just want it to show all of today's events.
I set ALC662 as the sound card in the asoundrc file, but the speaker test couldn't recognize it, so I got no sound.
No dice. Pulse Audio Volume Control only shows L and R speaker sliders.
Sound profile is "analog duplex," as there is no surround sound option in the dropdown menus.
I will try the asoundrc...
Running Ubuntu 10.04 (32-bit) on a Zotac IONITX-A-U mobo. No surround sound, only stereo. There was an easy fix for this in 9.10, which doesn't work anymore because the volume control app has...
That is quite possibly the worst subject heading I've ever seen. Just had to say that...
(looks for actual Ubuntu-related posts)
I can't install Evernote 3.1 in Linux Mint 9.10 through Wine. Here's what I get when I try to run the installer through the command line:
wine Evernote_3.1.0.1225.exe
wine: Unhandled page fault...
My laptop runs 32-bit Lucid and has an Intel PRO/Wireless 5300 AGN [Shiloh] wifi card. At random times, the connection drops. This never happened in Karmic and even affects me on other networks in my...
Fixed. I just had to install the unmet dependency "default-mta."
I get this when I try to uninstall anything (Synaptic, Software Store, doesn't matter):

Solved it for me, too. Gives me the convenience of a bookmark in Nautilus to boot.
I'm running Wine 1.1.34 in Xubuntu 9.10 (32-bit). I'm trying to run nullDC, as I've seen many people do, but I get the following error message in Terminal:

The instructions in post #23 worked on my Zotac Ionitx-A-U in Xubuntu 9.10.

I have a Zotac Ionitx A-U mobo, which has a built-in 5.1 sound card. I am running Xubuntu 9.10 (32-bit).
I only get sound in my front left and front right speakers. I know the card has the...
Putting the cache in /dev/shm seemed to do the trick. Now that I know about it, it's simple to implement.
The only reason you found those links is because you know what tmpfs is and are aware of the built in ram disk functionality in the kernel. I was not aware of those things; that is why I asked!...
Every tutorial I've found for setting up a RAM disk in Ubuntu is either outdated, overly involved (I am NOT recompiling my kernel), or ineffective. Does anyone know how to set on up in Karmic?
