    Nevermind.. I have just installed 11.04 64bit and it turned out that it recognised the ATI GPU without problems.

    I don't know why it didn't when i booted from the USB

    Are you talking about the 32bit or the 64bit version of 11.04 ??

    Because i would like to upgrade from 10.10 32bit which is working well, but i prefer to update to the 64bit version if there are...

    Then go to the point tha says fix low resolution screen and try that is think a had the same problem with you...

    Yes i wanted to have access from windows.
    I finally made just 2 logical partitons ubuntu and swap only ,i wanted to se if that will work and later i might make a partition for my data only.

    Very very helpful tutorial thanks for posting it here,
    No problems after following it, except the brightness ,it works with the fn keys on the ubuntu 10.10 32bit installation.

    I think that mine also has something to do with EFI boot because i just mounted it using ntfs-3g(am on the live cd) and it has files like bootmgr.exe.mui and memtest.exe.mui ....

    scanf("%s"); only reads the string until the first whitespace.so after searching the web i found that i can read the whole string with the whitespaces if i replace it with ...
