Poll: Re: Is too much installed by default?

Why should there be any software installed by default except a browser, email, office and some low level graphics software? You don't need to lead people by the nose all the time. How do you install...

Re: Let's increase our market share NOW

Maybe something along the lines of red hat?

  7. Re: Canonical asks desktop users to "pay what you think Ubuntu is worth"

Probably would donate the price of the CD which is £4.71 from the store.

Hardly a massive amount really when a 1 use windows 7 disc is like £100

  9. Re: Canonical asks desktop users to "pay what you think Ubuntu is worth"

I can see a lot of people will balk at the idea of paying but I guess they have to keep the lights on somehow. $16 is pretty good going but I would expect an OS where I didn't have to worry about...

Re: How would you like an Ubuntu phone?

I think integration is key here. Ubuntu is linux. Android is linux. If they were truly seamless and shiny then I think that in turn would score a lot of brownie points in terms of converting people...

I have to second somebodies previous recommendation of 'The Thick of it'.
