I have just found the problem and the solution to it! :P
The problem is a bug in Syslinux 4.06.
I think the bug extends all the way to 4.04 as I've had some issues with LiLi which uses that...

I was just reading the syslinux page. I'm thinking of re-writing the syslinux on the boot sector so it can boot in "stupid mode". Maybe that will work :confused::confused::confused:
