Ubuntu doesn't compile PHP's GD for security reasons. It instead uses generic GD. Therefore, a lot of PHP GD functions are not available.
There are somewhat valid security reasons at play here, but...
Sweet! I got mine today, and I have to say - they look very snazzy.
Especially on the corner of my silver case :D
Haha, when I went to PC World to buy a laptop, they let me try out the Breezy live CD on all the ones I was interested on, in the end the laptop I got had working Xorg and wireless out of the box,...
Thanks!
Do you know of any good SDL OGL tutorials? I've just realised I've only done 2d in SDL, everything I've done in OGL has been with GLFW.
Does anyone know of any simple methods for drawing basic 2d shapes (ie, squares and circles) to the screen in SDL without having to load a texture of the shape and scale it and such?
I'm trying to...
I'm trying to release an executable for windows and linux that doesn't need the system to have the SDL libs installed - for instance, on windows I have to bundle the executable with SDL.dll, and on...
I'm using the one provided by Feisty and it's working perfectly - if not better than before, especially nice tweaks include the OSD for volume now showing a neat volume meter.
Not to mention all the people who install without internet access (do you run in the background all the time polling for 'net access?) and those who install and a few days/weeks/months later decide...
Games especially - I paid for UT2004, for instance :D
Sure, if it was something I wanted to use.
However, if there was a free alternative that was just as good, I'd probably go for the free one.
Oh, neat! I hadn't seen those before.
I could probably help out with some PHP and MySQL stuff, I'll keep an eye on the thread!
Might I suggest SquirrelMail for web-mail? I'm using it happily, and there are lots of fun plugins.
I've just finished a quick and dirty rotN program in C++:

It's not exactly.. elegant, though. What do you guys think?
Also, as an aside: any ideas on how...
As far as I can remember, there are linux programs able to grab the password from the BIOS while linux is running - from my technical viewpoint, I imagine you'd read RAM where the bios was shadowed....
Haha, wow. That's the same bag I have.
I love it; it's very well made and strong, pretty padded and mine's been spun around and thrown onto a brick wall then fell onto concrete (by someone who...
I'll donate now and again to a few things I find worthwhile, but nothing regular. Often when something I use a lot needs money I'll consider donating - these forums and wikipedia are examples.
Plus...
Right, but that's somewhat like saying "don't work on making X pretty work on getting the kernel stable" - two different teams of people.
It's a nice idea, I think. Not having to find and download...
So block based on context, allow access to scholarly material but not to the NSFW stuff. If a page is being blocked by mistake, have a request form for it to be unblocked.
You need the host name as well as the IP, I imagine. It's like this: I host multiple (say, 5 different) domains on my server, the IP is the same for each, but depending on the host name you visit a...
`convert`, from ImageMagick (imagemagick in repos).
Use like this:
convert myFile.bmp readyForPalm.jpg
+1
;p
you've obviously never seen two engineers designing circuit diagrams then ;p
