    Its a Gateway Essential 500, built 2/10/00, and it came out of the box with:

    -Pentium III 500mhz (Katmai)
    -64mb Ram
    -10 gig...

    Oh, right on. Cpu shouldn't be too pokey then, and at least the GMA 950 can handle basic compiz and stuff like that.

    Doesnt Intel have a dual core Atom slated for nettop usage specifically....it would be cool to see it put in the meerkat, with maybe some type of Nvidia chipset/IGP combo.

    Ever since upgrading to Ibex, I've been unable to successfully burn cds, or DVDs.

    The disc will act like its burning regularly, and say it completes 100%, but reinserting the disc, I get the Blank...
