    Well, try opening a video or pdf, or a openoffice file, or a xcf or psd file.

    Anyway If you prefer opening them in the default app, you're free to use of course :D

    Covergloobus doesn't need compile, is written in pyhton and you can launch it just double clicking in covergloobus.py and selectin execute.

    Anyway, you first want to execute covergloobus-config.py...

    There is a double patched nautilus :P with the simplified version but thats not the one in the repository, you can compile it by yourself and get the simplified nautilus with the space launching...
