    Looks like it was this bug. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1242417

    I was somehow able to get it working a while ago with boot-repair. I think it had something to do with that...

    If this is a desktop install, the Disk Utility can do this easily.

    Putting yourself in a DMZ is a really bad idea unless you know what you're doing. You only need to forward the one port that it runs on to your computer.

    Can you re-upload but close Firefox before taring up the directory? The sqlite database is corrupted because it was still being written to.

    Sure the debdelta package is available but it will do absolutely nothing if installed because there are no Ubuntu delta packages.
