    i found a temporary solution.
    I reverted to the older kernel(before the update)
    from 2.6.27.11
    to 2.6.27.9

    but that isn't a good solution, hopefully it will be fixed soon

    i guess the driver...

    I updated using the update manager and rebooted as requested.
    When i booted up i had no sound.
    When i try to start alsa:


    sudo alsa reload
    lsof: WARNING: can't stat() fuse.gvfs-fuse-daemon...

    Solved,
    i just used a fork of the original msn plugin provided by pidgin.
    sudo apt-get install msn-pecan
    to get it.

    The thing is that aMSN works while pidgin does not.
    and the only icmp i want to be allowed is the ones required by pidgin, how
    can i find what they are, and add them manualy to the iptables?

    The idea was using gui without a mouse, not cli without a mouse.

    i have a vision where all gui softare could be controlled completely mouseless. either through cli(when the gui already running)...
