this has worked more times then not in winders...try uninstalling your network adapter the rebooting and let windows reinstall it.

pay for software, here we go with the MS idea of apps. wine is free and works well. you just have to do a little homework BEFORE you install win apps in wine. if you just HAVE TO have a win app...why...

the apt you are installing has a name.
use apt-get install program name.
is EZ

just a shot in the dark...if you have the two machine connented via crossover. and no DHCP server is present. you must asign IP's and such.
