Hmmm what's wrong with the version you can get of repos? It's the latest stable version and it doesn't require much effort installing.

I just wanted to say that if all you need is listen to music - XMMS must be the best choice. It does not require a lot of resources and it plays music well.
As for myself - I use Amarok but I have...
Yeah, there is al ot of talk here about force removing but people still do that.
Oh, and truly secure computer is the one that is powered off. :)
I use Firestarter myself and I don't see a point why I shouldn't. It blocks unnecessary ports, etc. If you're on Unix or Linux it doesn't make you 100 percent safe. That's what I think.
Ah, so it's pay to use.. Not a gamer myself. Btw, I actually heard somewhere that if you compile it yourself, it's free, and you only pay for .deb, .rpm. Is that true?
How did that go?
I've seen that Cadega have specific setting for WoW which might make installation easier. That's in case if you'll want to try Cadega instead of Wine.
Solved myself *sigh* just like I always do.
No, this is how my KDE looks like. I have two taskbars so it *might* remind GNOME. No GNOME is actually installed in my machine.
Some sound drivers allow only one program to use sound card at the moment. I would say it's OSS, so you should change into ALSA. Well eh, just wait for a better reply. :)
I added the attachment. All my input fields went blank. i know it's an KDE issue and it can be fixed with the setting I just cannot found where. :)
Well, I think Amarok is just right for your needs... You can try Songbird if you haven't yet.

Was about to write reply but bartcramer answered everything, cheers. :)
If you are using KDE or have all the KDE libraries - try Ktorrent.
Why not freshly install Kubuntu?
Haven't been BUMPing for a while. Here is one BUMP. How's everybody been? BUMPing alright?
You can copy a DVD using K3b.
Well, KDE 4 is said to be stable. But I'd say it's still bit more wise to stay with KDE 3 until newer versions of KDE 4 will come out fixing bugs, etc. You can revert to KDE 3 with no problem, simply...
I don't think my uber tweaked Kubuntu is faster than Win XP (dang, I haven't seen xp for ages). But come on - XP came out in 2001 and Heron in 2008! :)
Do not forget to try aMSN. I found it a quite awesome alternative.
Also try http://127.0.0.2. I had my Apache default at this point.
Thanks for heads up mate. I remember using Vi with Unix System V Release 4.2 all the way back in 1993.
I'm using Firefox 3. Well yes, it does crash then and then but even though it's quite nice browsing experience.
And I wouldn't recommend Opera. It might be a good browser for Windows but it's not...
It should be installed by default, yes. But if by any chance it's not.
sudo apt-get install vi
Actually, I'm not sure even sure it may be available at repos. :)
EDIT: It was a funny try,...
