Could you post the output of 'lspci'?
If there is no driver for it, ndiswrapper is always an option and works in most cases, but it is best to see if there is a native driver for you chipset.
Try the 'netstat' command.
There are several flags you can use, based on your post I think you may be need:
'-a' shows all listening and non-listening sockets
'-p' shows the program id(PID)
