[SOLVED] Re: hp-setup can't connect to network

    Thanks!
    ./install.py -n worked for me.

Looks like it relaxes the wait time for the connection to be established, which was what I needed.
  5. [ubuntu] Re: oh come on!? 30 minutes w8 for Network Manager?!

Just out of curiosity, was it set to auto-login when the issue popped up? It looks like there was a problem with the authentication through gnome-keyring.
If re-installation of the OS helped, it...
  6. [ubuntu] Re: oh come on!? 30 minutes w8 for Network Manager?!

The update libgnome-keyring0 2.30.1-0ubuntu1 that was pushed yesterday has fixed it for me.
    Good work Ubuntu! =D>

How about ognyang? Is it fixed for you?
  7. [ubuntu] Re: oh come on!? 30 minutes w8 for Network Manager?!

I had to give up on the auto-login to fix this. I'm not sure if it's a bad thing.

    Re: RAM upgrade cools CPU???

I checked the address space allocated to each of the devices and found that 512MB address space was being used by the graphics card. That means that my comp is now using 1/8th of the RAM for the...

Re: 6 Ways Gnome Shell is Better than Gnome 2+

    I agree

IMHO simplicity is a matter of perspective/familiarity. I have seen my friends getting confused over the three-way menu that Gnome has (and these people are aged at least 20+). I set...
