    If I watch a YouTube video, for example, a few mins after a cold boot, everything is fine and it just idles away....

    Yes you are 100% correct. My machine has 4G RAM and I gave the XP installation 3G RAM which was way too much.

    In fact - I think I have narrowed it down to VirtualBox - could that cause crashes you think? Difficult to say I know hence question on logging...

    Just had two completely random black screen of death crashes - the only message said - very briefly - closing apache2.

    I used to use wine but I found that virtual machine is the way forward for me. Maybe there is something about running windows software in their native environment just seems to work better IMO

    Hi I downloaded Dragon Disk which is a FTP/ SSH client.

    It was a deb file and really easy to install - it was loaded through the Ubuntu software and it seemed to install fine.

    I cant find it...
