    Re: HOWTO: Install DC++ for linux

    It's not outdated. Those directions will still allow you to compile LinuxDC++ from source in Lucid. However, I recommend you install from PPA as mentioned in Update #2.
  3. [ubuntu] Re: LinuxDc++ 1.1.0 have just been released just to let you know

    It's not released, it's just a PPA of the main development trunk which will eventually be 1.1.0.

    Re: HOWTO: Install LinuxDC++

    LinuxDC++ also has segmented downloads in its latest version. It's not officially released yet, but you can find pre-release debian packages for it on our PPA on Launchpad:

    [ubuntu] Re: LinuxDC++

    It is a compatibility issue. Try setting your connection speed to 5 and see if it lets you in.

    [all variants] Re: Linux DC++

    Hmmm....let me guess. It's probably an OpenDC hub v0.7.1.4? If so, you could've just changed your upload speed to 5 and it would let you in. If they have an additional check on version <= 0.674 then...
  8. [ubuntu] Re: LinuxDC++ Port Forwarding - Static IP Help

    Just put linuxdcpp for the app name and the IP address of the machine running linuxdcpp. Then in the four port boxes put the port you have specified in linuxdcpp's preferences for TCP. Then do the...

    Re: HOWTO: Install LinuxDC++

    I guess because GetDeb is for applications not available in the Ubuntu repositories. Since Linuxdcpp is now available in Ubuntu they must be discontinuing their support. I'll remove the link from the...

    What version are you using?

    Read the debugging section of the manual to get a backtrace and post it here.

    Re: HOWTO: Install LinuxDC++

    While I wouldn't say that LinuxDC++ is extremely fast, it is definitely not as slow as you're experiencing. Something in your OS is causing it to be slow. Try disabling Assistive Technology to see if...

    Re: HOWTO: Install LinuxDC++

    I've heard of this situation before, but I'm not sure what causes it. In order to fix it I would need somebody to compile the latest cvs in debug mode then run in gdb and send me the output of...

    Re: HOWTO: Install LinuxDC++

    Passive users can only download from active users, not from other passive users. You're probably trying to download from passive users. Also, if you're going to specify a port make sure it's > 1023....

    Re: HOWTO: Install LinuxDC++

    Yes, I would eventually like to turn linuxdcpp into a daemon/frontend setup, but it's going to take some time. Right now I still have to add magnet support, finish user commands and finally add l18n,...

    Re: HOWTO: Install LinuxDC++

    There's already a context checkbox option in the user command dialog. I'm not sure why you're saying it has to be in the command itself, it's not a command it's just a gui option. We already have a...
