    Indeed, Wifi quality on Zenbook with Linux is poor. Atheros isn't working (as i know) on Linux drivers...so someone has to find out how this chip works. Apparently this isn't easy!

    I'm using Kernel 3.8.5 from Mainline:
    - way better Touchpad driver (sentelic)
    - Wifi got more instable...i think I "tweaked" a bit with "no hardware encryption"...but disconnects...

    If your using my powersave script in /etc/pm/power.d/ the sd-card reader will be disabled when the system turns into powersave mode. The sd-card driver polls every 50ms the port --> drains useless...

    You could configure it to save everything on your hdd after..let's say...20 minuits and then shut down. But I think it's not a big...

    Is there a way for reverting back to an older Bios? I'm asking because the builtin update client doesn't allow me to downgrade. At least I would like to downgrade to 212 for working backlight buttons...

    I also never got any sudden shutdowns when running Ubuntu. Never tried with Windows because I removed it at the second day. I got the Laptop since March 12.

    I've measured it now: The Laptop drains about 22% in 18 houres on standby.
    That's way to much :(

    In Comparison, my normal System-On time is okay...about 6 houres
