Just to add to this, I've looked at the various dmesg logs and can't find one showing that kernel version attempting to boot, just the previous one .96.
I just performed an apt-get dist-upgrade and rebooted after it completed successfully. When the system came back up, i got the grub prompt, and then when it went to boot it just sat with a flashing...
Tried those settings and while it seemed to stay up for longer, the adapter still dropped after 5 hours or so. Any ideas?
Giving those a try now. Should know within an hour. Odd that it started in recent updates though. Makes me think some change in the kernel or module caused it.
